Current Student Work

Spring 2019 artists worked in 2D and 3D to create their own scene. “It’s a Small World” featured the work of 15 artists, ages 9 through 18. Students had to design, paint a backdrop, decided on how to build/create the foreground. Some places were fantasy, while others you will recognize! All types of materials were used in this five week semester.

Winter 2019 artists studied “Art Through the Ages.” This slideshow features the work of the students who learned about techniques and were inspired by famous artists: Picasso, Cezanne, Della Robbia, Van Gogh, Audubon, and Lichtenstein.

Enjoy the work of the Fall 2018 AW artists who explored the use of ink in the semester, “Ink it!”

The 2018 Art in the Summer artists had a special challenge…to compose and publish a children’s alphabet book. The 13 artists ages 10 through 17 created a thoughtful illustrated book using the theme of ‘fantasy.’ They collaborated with each other, and are now able to realize their work in a published book. Each artist received a copy, and a copy will be presented to Ms. Katie Kurtz, the IC preschool teacher who was kind enough to lend us her air-conditioned classroom.
